What I Have Come to Accept and Know

  • My early postings to this blog had much more clever titles.
  • My right index finger is just going to hurt. Think I sprained it a few months ago opening a jar of baby food.
  • I have hairs on my chin and they must be removed.
  • It is okay to feel sleepy. Deal with it.
  • Children continue to grow and change. For better or for worse.
  • It is okay for husbands and wives to be angry with each other.
  • Church makes me feel good.
  • Family is critical. Friends are very, very important.
  • I love to eat. I must move more than I eat.
  • It is okay to be a little late.
  • The book is always better than the movie.
  • Kids do not need or want lots of things. We only think they do.
  • Toilets do not clean themselves.
  • My mother was usually right.

  1. I will add:
It's ok to shave... the upper lip.
It's ok to not shower every day.
Exercise is critical. Get it however you can.
Kids don't need a lot of clothes.
    Hand-me-downs rock.
It is good to laugh at ourselves!

  2. All very true, Diana! Glad it's okay to shave my upper lip, because when I don't have zits on it, I do.
